This Week in Napasonoma,
A taste of California Wines

To taste the best of California wines you should definitely visit Napa Valley. The Countryside is about 2 hours north of San Francisco and can easily be a day trip for most local Californians. However, most people prefer a complete two week vacation, some visitors will visit just for a weekend or wine event. If you get a chance to visit the wine Country you will have a chance to stay at some of the finest Bed & Breakfast places, eat at the top restaurants in the Country and taste the best wines in the world.

When you visit the valley you will have a great experience regardless of the season or day of week. In our opinion, the Wine Country offers its best during fall when the aroma of the grape harvest and vines is in the air. This is what Napa Valley is known for most, and it's wine and grapes will set your mood to relaxation and happiness.

If you have just one day to visit, the best way to get around is by limousine or rental car. Renting a limo for a wine tour is not that expensive and it will allow everyone in your group to focus on having fun. Also, most wine tour companies know the vineyards very well and can get you to the ones you want to see more quickly.

If you are going to do a two or three day trip, your best option is to drive there or rent a tour guide. Also, if your spending more than a day, driving will allow you to take more tours of vineyards and not feel rushed at every stop. In addition to winetasting at vineyards, If you are a real wine expert you will need more than a day to try the wines paired with food at some of the restaurants.

Finally, the best and most romantic places are Inns and Bed & Breakfasts. There are many of them to choose from, therefore, try to be sure you make reservations in advance. If you are planning on a weekend trip, keep in mind that weekends are most popular times to visit. Besides wineries, Napa valley is a great destination for a weekend of relaxation which, many people do by staying at a resort with a spa or going to one of the many spas in the area. Check our B&B page for the complete listing of the local inns.

be a star Napa Valley

The Napa Valley is a beautiful Countryside located in Northern California. As one of the most successful wine growing regions in the world it offers temperate weather and rolling hills filled with lush vineyards and black oak trees reminiscent of the French countryside.
There are many famous wineries ranging from the largest estates like Domain Chandone and wine caves to mid-size and smaller family owned wineries such as Mondavi.
When you visit the Wine Country you will find many relaxing activities and chances to see both the natural history of cities such as the original library building on main street in downtown Napa, to the original wineries from the first days located in the town of Oakville.
Wine tasting tours and event are held regularly throughout the season and there are a range of wines and wineries to tour as well as shopping activities and excursions to the countryside.

The City of Napa, Ca.
Rolling hills surround the City of Napa, you can see them from almost any point in the City making it a true valley. Napa offers shopping at the town center and antique buildings lamplights on it's original Main street. There are many wineries located both outside the city in the countryside and within. A theater, Shopping, and farmers market, its the Valley's "City".

The Town of St. Helena, Ca.
As you continue through the Countryside you will come upon the town of St Helena along the way you will see beautiful green vineyards and oak tree lined streets, antique hotels, and famous wineries with a well maintained countryside. In St. Helena There are wine tours, gift hops with hidden treasures, and a main street with original buildings and a unique sight at every corner. St. Helena seems to have it all and then some.
